Hornady Lock-n-Load Bushings

Anyone use these... apparently they allow you to leave your dies set up and pop them in when you need them. Just wondering if they are worth a look...

I've got an LNL press, and lot's of the bushings.....Love the Press...and the ease of changing dies without resetting them. In my experience, they'll usually fit in the die box....

I had lots of problems with the bushings fitting my Redding presses. Some did, some didn't. I contacted Hornady and after much back and forth BS I determined the bushings were out of tolerance to Hornady specs. They would not own up to it and washed their hands of the matter (and all my future business) and I ended up selling the whole lot of stuff on eBay except for the bad bushings. I sent the bad bushings back to Hornady (a second time) with a recommendation as to where to put them. Won't go down that road again. I have nothing good to say about Hornady customer service.

Had same trouble with those pesky bushings. Finally went to a Dillan press and dies. Havent looked back since.

They make an adapter that fits the 1 1/4x12 thread that most presses have. I use them in my RCBS Special-3 and like them. Very convenient.

Speaking of Dillon, I just became the proud owner of a used but nice 450 today with primer feed upgraded to current specs. Setups for .223, .38/.357, .357 Sig, .44, and .45 ACP/.45 AR. My neighbor is retiring, selling out, and moving away and my shooting buddy and I are buying his whole reloading shop. Buddy already has a Dillon so I get that part. Think it'll be a little faster than my Rockchucker? Sorry for the hijack, just needed to share my good fortune with someone.

Yes, that's the part I had lots of trouble with, the adapter that screws into the press that hosts the bushings. The thread pitch was grossly off from what it was supposed to be and was an easy thing to verify at the plumbing supply store. Hornady's answer was for me to buy adapters until I found one that fit and said my $200 press was screwed up and their $6 POS adapter couldn't possibly have a problem.
