I was wondering if anyone is using this as an exclusive cleaner and gun lube. Igot a couple of cans to try, a bit on the expensive side, but was impressed by the dry lube and protectant, vs oil which leaves residue and collects dirt.

Don't use anything else.

Thanks for feed back, I paid $13.95 a can at Bass Pro. I guess I need to shop around. In principal it seems like the way to go, take a lot to clean all the oil residue off in initial transition to One Shot!

Yea, I pay crazy high prices for it, but nothing I do is cheap anymore, I just put $500 fender flares on my truck and they're just cheap plastic, top it off the mounting hardware didn't work.

But, I don't go to the bar, I don't golf, I shoot and hunt, maybe the occasional calling contest mixed in, so this is where all my coin goes.

From what I understand in tests performed, Hornady One Shot Cleaner/Lube was one of the best tested when protecting against rust. That and Frog Lube were at the top.

I don't think i saw Frog lube freeze in testing..

But, I use it and haven't had a single issue. Sitting in a snow storm getting wet from getting in and out of the car, didn't freeze up on me and works great and I know it sounds wierd, but i swear i use less q tips and patches cleaning now. I feels like the first few are super dirty, but then clean after that.

I have been out in -20 weather and never had an single issue using the oil kind product on the metal surfaces and the paste to lube up moving parts lightly after cleaning.
