Do to a injury on my hand I was wondering if anyone has use these add on bolt balls. They are to make the handle easier to get to and work with thanks for any info you guys

Many years ago, I built a target rifle on a 1903A3 action for HP XTC match practice. The 03 action was not nearly as slick as my mod 70 match rifles so decided it needed a bit more leverage on bolt handle.

Annealed and drilled a hole in a 1" steel ball bearing, ground the bolt knob off and soft soldered the enlarged ball on stub, thus extending length by close to 3/4".

I had closeup pictures of the bolt but cannot locate at the moment. Will search later and post if I can locate. Had to grind bottom of ball flat and stipple for non-slip surface.

Trigger finger extends directly under the ball now and works great for 10 shot string in 60 second rapid fire time limit.
