I know nothing about trapping , but skunks have to be the easiest to catch. We had something getting in the trash sack at the cabin. Found an old trap inthe cabin (not sure what size). I staked the chain to a rail road tie, sett he trap and put some left over pasta salad on it from dinner. Had a skunk the next morning. Set again that night with some more left overs and had another in the am. No stain, no boiling, no worry about scent.
