How do I order an original Trijicon Hunter MKII Thermal Scope rubber eyepiece/guard replacement?

I was walking in the dark and fell carrying my Trijicon Hunter MKII thermal scope on my AR and didn't realize until it was too late that I had lost the rubber eyepiece. I hate the fact that the eyepiece is so poorly attached. Either way, it was my fault. I am trying to replace the eyepiece and have contacted Trijicon with no response.

How can I replace the original rubber eyepiece?

I always carry a spare. I tried zip tying mine on but I'm not convinced thats the way to go.

This is the exact same as the original? It says PVS-14.

The Trijicon units are built using the PVS14 eyepiece.

If you will take a zip-tie and cinch it down around the rubber ring where it clips onto the unit it will help hold it on in the field.

So, the two eye pieces are the exact same one?

Ok. Thanks. I asked the guy at Trijicon and he said no, he must be mistaken. Even seen a few reference the PVS-14 as the same as the Trjicon.

Anyone have any experience with this?

The Trijicon guy either:

1. Does not know the correct answer

2. Knows the correct answer but wants to sell you an official "Trigicon Eyepiece" for $39.95 plus shipping.

I looked at the SEGA ring and from what I can tell it threads on and the plastic portion behind the eyepiece retaining ring goes back into the rubber cup. Looks like a good way to get a scope cut if I am correct.

Interesting.

Shooting a suppressed .300 BO so the recoil should be pretty light. Seems like it'd work....if it didn't give you scope eye.

Great news, talked to Shawn at Trijicon and they are sending me a replacement eye piece free of charge. Wow. Great CS when I told them it was completely my fault that I lost it.

I bought a screw on amber filter for
My Mark3 60mm.

Then I used Gorilla glue and attached a shuttered eye guard piece onto it to keep all the light spill off me while I scan with a hand held and the rifle is on the tri-pod.

Several years ago you could get an amber filter that would thread on in place of a demist shield then you would have the normal eyepiece retaining ring for the rubber cup. I have several from my PVS14 days and I use one on my M300 to reduce eye fatigue while scanning. You might check around on the web and find one.

Check with Tyler at Ulitmate Nightvision.
