How do you make a snare?

I am new to trying this type of thing. I haven't ever used one and I am interested in learning new things. A friend and I are thinking about getting into trapping this next season. A local trapper has offered to teach some things and I can probably get some pretty decent areas to trap on, so any help needed would be appreciated. thanks alot.
 
What animal are you trying to snare ? Live snaring or lethal snaring ? Will also depend on your state regulations. (some require a deer stop or min. +/or max. loop size).

Hal Sullivan of Ohio has the best snaring book out there for a beginner. The OSTA web site also has a snaring guide that can be down-loaded.

Help from a local trapper will help you many times over in the long run. It will save you much time in the "learning curve."

If you are asking about making the actual snare I suggest you just purchase them as they are cheap to buy. But if your question involves how to properly make a snare set I suggest you log onto your DNR's website and look into any education links they would have. The Ohio DNR has some information on this, also. A good book is also a benefit.
