The only damage to the unit was the scratches on the bottom of the housing:

We by no means encourage you to run over your Scorpion. We wanted to demonstrate just how rugged these units are.

well Rick, so far mine's been rained on and dropped, close to being shot once, but other than that nothing drastic I just need a bit more time.
Anyone that knows me knows I'm extremely hard on my equipment.

think i'm going to order one on monday Glenn. going to hunt alot of state's this year. you sure get and help get some nice critter's Glenn keep it up. Rick

That's not much of a test Mike. To really test it it needs to be tromped on by some elephants.

Send me a unit and the plane tickets to S. Africa, and I'll be happy to take the time to test it for you.

Guess it's fair to say that a pretty sturdy housing.

Guess it's fair to say Glenn Guess might not break the scorpion........ /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif

It's Otter Box (namebrand) from the looks of it, which I've used when I was a fishing guide. The otter cases have proven to be tougher than Pelican's in the scenarious I've used them. I had a pelican case literally split once when it was doused in freezing water for a week and then smashed against an aluminum case in the whitewater raft. My Otter cases are unbelievably durable.
