I actually had a very similar conversation to this topic last night with some friends. We were dinking around in my shop and watching some PQ videos online where Les is using an old school "duckblind" style of hunting (laying on your back until they're close, then blasting with a 12ga).


I grew up hunting like that, and I'd definitely say "don't knock it until you try it", but the comments my buddies made were:


Why do you want to have every shot you take be on a RUNNING COYOTE?


Which I felt is pretty apt. A coyote's top speed doesn't matter much if he's not running when I take my shot. Better to make a shot count than count shots...
