I generally only stay about 15 minutes at the most but have sometimes stayed as long as 30 minutes and ended up getting a coyote in. But as a rule of mine I don't waste much time over 15 minutes. Generally they are there in that amount of time. AS far as how long to wait before going into another call, if you are talking electronic call, I wait about a minute or so then call with another. I don't call solid with electronic call. I turn the call on for about 1 minute then turn it off and wait about 5 minutes before calling again, watching for any movement. If there is a coyote in the area and he hears the call believe it or not he already has the sound pegged to where it is coming from. Just start off low and work high. Hand calls I do the same. Call short then wait then call again. Hope this helps. Everyone on here has a different way of calling so I am sure you will hear other theories.
