How long to light them up??

The length of time to keep them lit is relative. Some animals tolerate the light better than others and distance is also a factor. Once I spot eyes, I try and keep them lit, but only in the periphy of the light. Don't burn them directly with the light, but don't lose those eyes either. Shine the light above them, keeping them in the edge of the light. I've been told that the light works as a barrier to hide your movements behind the light, take the light off and your barrier is gone. I will remove the light long enough to shift from the handheld light to the scope mounted light though, do this while they're at a distance, if given the opportunity. Hey Spyd,
How's the hunting in nashville? I just bought a nightlight you mount on your scope over at gander mountain in Grandville, i was going to use it the other night, when i got to my stand i tested it before it was dark, to my surprise the stinking red lens fell off while i was walking. I had to back track about a mile back to the house and i never found it. However i did find it the next day. When i was looking for the lens i heard someone calling for coyotes, it was the propery owner, he claims to have shot one last year behind the house durring the day.
Anyway, i think our best bet here in Michigan is at night, not only for coyotes, but Fox as well. If the wind is good, i am going out tonight.
What are you up to next weekend? I would still like to hook-up for a hunt or 2. I noticed there was a lot of state land near you in nash, so we should not have trouble looking for places to hunt.
