I just sold off my gun. this is everything I have left and I figured I would put it up for sale. Figured maybe someone can help me price some of it out. a lot of it is virgin brass and a lot of it is once fired. i would have to do a head count but I would think I probably have close to a thousand pieces of brass??? i know the Virgin stuff is PPU and winchester for sure. Three bags of unopened remington 45 grain HPs and 2 boxes Seirra 40 grain HPs. Both Hornet specific. i think that bag of other projectiles is around two hundred and fifty and they're fifty five grain full metal jackets with a round nose. All bags and boxes of projectiles unopened.I have a used r c b s two die set and then the unused lee whack a mole set. I will have to do a head count on the brass and by brand

I know the brass was going for an arm and a leg not too long ago, before Hornady started making some.

Just haven't attention lately beause I haven't been reloading. the bag on the top right.I did some water tests with a few ballistic tips that are still loaded up. i didn't do a head count on those. the brass in the blue boxes are winchester Virgin as well with primers installed.

Anybody have an idea what the lot is worth? i'd like to move it all together.

22 Hornet casings… that’s why I didn’t post 22K Hornets

I bought and traded for all the stuff when I picked up a savage 24F predator. Just sold the gun for 1200 bucks. Have all the goodies left over. I know some of that stuff has gone for an arm and a leg, but I just figured I would check with the shooters here. What current value is before I put it up for sale. I know there’s enough shooters that love that cartridge that can probably tell me in a second or two with that stuff is worth to help me out.

Not that I really care, but from everything I read is, if you have a K hornet, all you do is fire a hornet brass through them in it forms the casing to the K hornet. …So I guess it could be used for K Hornets. I know the Winchester brass is impossible to find from what I just researched after I posted this and I know those Remington projectiles they stopped making and those were supposed to be the cats rear end for accuracy and for predator hunting. I just don’t see those projectiles for sale anywhere probably because they’ve all been shot up or hoarded. I know the classic lee loader kit, that’s brand new, is not in production anymore either.

Yes, correct. I had a nice Ruger single shot in k hornet. Just like an Ackley improved cartridge, shoot the hornet case and it becomes a “k”. Fire form loads are usually quite accurate.

I apologize and know this isn't the first sale forum but if anybody's interested just send me a pm I need to pay a few bills. looks like the brass cells for about a buck.Et piece and I wouldn't ask that for the whole lot anywhere near it probably.

I just did a headcount 672 total pieces of brass. There is 383 once fired Winchester, 189 virgin Winchester, and 100 virgin hornady. That miscellaneous bag of 55 grain round nose either has 200 or 250 projectiles. All the projectiles are unopened so are as new so there’s either 700 or 750 total. The classic lee loader I bought brand new and never used either so it’s as new.

I tried selling the stuff here. I threw it on gunbroker since there was no interest.

If anybody is interested just message me and I can always pull it off the auction site if there's no bids.

I have one (BSA 310 Cadet) in the safe chambered in the K, which I have plans on changing to a .221 version. The cartridge is neat, works great but the fragile necks. Coupled with loss of brass when fireforming. Although probably could be improved if I improved my method of fireforming.
To me the biggest thing that has driven me away is the necks being so fragile. That is consistent with either version. Outside that the cartridge is great regardless if K or normal version.

Well, I don’t have to worry about it anymore. It’s all sold and gone, but thanks for all the help in the replies guys! I’ll stick to my 223 and load it down if needed. Sure it’ll still be louder, but it will be more inherently accurate.

Interested for a friend if the price is right. I have plenty of my own.
