How old ?

My buddy Ken and I hunted last night and killed one each on separate properties. Both were males.

Ken’s appears to be an old one from the looks of his teeth.

Do any of you more experienced folks have any idea the age of the coyote ?

One thing for sure he will not get any older, I'm going to say 8 or more years by the tooth chart bohunr posted.

I’m thinking that joker go kicked in the teeth at some point. It’s no pup for sure, but I don’t think it’s an ancient one either. Agree with spotstalkshoot. Maybe hedge towards 4 years more than 3.

Tooth wear has been proven time and again by biologists to be a very inaccurate age indicator in deer, I figure the same with all critters

That one is a hard call. The teeth still there look pretty fresh though. I think 3-4 years. But who knows.
