How to find out the manfacture date of a Remington Rifle???

I did call them and was told that they could not disclose that information. I may have got someone having a bad day and did not want to deal with me but that was what I was told!!!

There is a date code stamped on the barrel just ahead of the reciever on the left side, it will be two or three letters, then you need the key list , there is one in the back of the blue book of gun values.

I looked that up but is there not any to find out by the SN?

I have looked at two different sites using the codes on the barrel and came up with two different dates so I didn't Know which one to believe is the reason for asking about the SN.

The serial is for the action. And dates can/will vary between action manufacture and rifle assembly dates. (Barrel Stamp)

The link I posted has shown to be 100%. Now, they do recycle the codes a bit, so you may need to look at anothe place for serial ranges.

What is stamped on your barrel?

Remington can tell you, just call. Barrel and action dates can be different.
