Howa 1500 Varmint in 223

Is the Howa 1500 Varmint a good rifle. It has a 24" Heavy barrel maybe shot 100 rounds and also has the boyds thumb hole stock.
 
Both of my Howa 1500's are great rifles. 223 and 22-250. I don't have the heavy barrel,mine are regular sporting models. Both very accurate and love the way the bolt cambers rounds. 100 rounds that rifle isn't even broke in yet! I would buy another Howa in a heart beat if I wanted another.
What are they asking? Does it have the sterling scope? Rudy
 
I think you will be happy. My first Howa I put a Timney trigger on it. The second one came with a trigger that could be set. It had a 2.5 lb. pull so it was just right. Let us know how you like it.
 
I have two 1500 Varmints in .223 for p-dogs, and both shoot very well with hand loads. The newer one with the two-stage trigger is easier to tune.

I have one set up in a Hogue Full length bed and the other in a Boyds Pro Varmint. Great rifles. 1500 is one of my favorite actions.
