Folks,

Here is our review of the Armasight Nemesis Gen 2+ 4X and 6X Night Vision Riflescopes. These are the Quick Silver models which utilize white phosphor instead of the traditional green phosphor tubes. These units were tested in three different light environments (no moon, half moon, and full moon) and with/without IR assistance from the HTRN T-20 850nm and 940nm devices. We offer both units in our intermediate Gen 2+ NV hunting package that you can access from the link below. This review should answer a lot of questions about the effectiveness of these Gen 2+ devices for hunting, performance under various lighting conditions, and how they perform with/without IR assistance. Hope you enjoy the review and feel free to contact us if you have questions. Kevin

Nice Kevin. I'm like you regarding the 6x Gen 2 Nemesis - NV has sure come a long way in the last 10 years. This scope would be my choice even if it is rather large and heavy.

One question I have pertains to the center crosshair. It appears to have an illuminated reticle but the reticle can't be seen most of the time in the tests, only on a dark night and no illumination. I assume it's because the camera at the ocular of the scope doesn't allow for a good view. How thick or thin are the center crosswires? Can you get a rather fine view of them for more precise shooting?

Thanks again for some great reviews. I have viewed all of your recent tests and am very impressed. Needless to say, the Gen 3 D760 has me foaming at the mount with desire, but considering the cost difference between it and the 6x Nemesis, I couldn't justify the added cost for my type of hunting. The Nemesis appears to be a very nice scope.

6mm06,

It has a fairly fine red illuminated reticle that is visible in all light conditions. The camera just doesn't pick it up very well until the darker no moon conditions. Armasight claims they are the finest cross hairs of any Gen 2+ out there today. They are not quite as fine as a standard daytime scope. Kevin

+1 on the Nemesis. Have both the 740 and the Nemesis and the Nemesis does not give up much to the 740. Excellent choice if you need to stretch your dollar. Both of mine are the 4X. Purchased both of mine through HTRN. Great deals on both.

Kevin,
I talked to you several years ago when I was in the Carthage area. Any chance I can come down to see these units side by side in the dark? I'm about 2.5 hrs away.

Thanks for the plug Case/NH, no better advertising than happy customers !! I do like the new white phosphor technology and Armasight has done a good job with the Nemesis Quick Silver in 4X or 6X. They are a nice addition to our product stable. Kevin

Which is better for real time hunter usage at 150 yards, the quick silver in B&W (which is just standard definition) or the Green in the (Enhanced definition)
