Huglu Shotguns

shardin,

My wife has been shooting a CZ Ringneck SxS 410 for about 3 years now. She shoots it for skeet, sporting clays/5-stand and for pat hunting in the fall. It has seen a LOT of target shells and a fair # of 3" game loads and has performed great. Hers is fixed IC and MOD chokes. It has always fired, and extracted as it should. I keep telling her I will lighten the triggers, but never get to it. The factory triggers are a bit heavier than we like, but good for most hunting.

You'll hear some people complain about them but I'm not one of them. My dad and I both have the 20 ga. Redheads and love them. Never had a single problem with either one. 5 or 6 years ago there were some broken firing pins but that has been resolved. I'm looking seriously at the Redhead in 28 ga. for my next purchase. 2Gunner, check out DeHann shotguns. He will do a trigger job on your SxS for a very reasonable price. He says 5 pounds and very crisp is do-able.

I have a Huglu/CZ Redhead in 20 gauge and absolutley love it. I probably shoot it better than any other shotgun I own. The fit and finish is excellent. I read alot of stories about broken firing pins and worried a little about that. The Mossbergs have had the same problem from what I have heard. I have probably shot 1500 rounds thru my Redhead with no problems so far. For the price they are tough to beat in my opinion.

Some friends and i bought Huglu's 5-6 years back for brush guns they were 12 gauge. We shot a lot of sporting clays, never had a problem. The trick was getting use to double triggers. But all said and done they held up very well.
