Hunters' Buddy

a friend of mine gave me a hunters buddy electronic caller. What does everyone think of this call. I have ordered the Predation but I would be willing to cancel it (seeing that it hasn't shipped yet) if I get some positive feedback on this call. I know the technology of the predation well exceeds that of the hunters buddy but the HB is free and the predation is not.
Any feedback is well appreciated.

Only know of two people that have tried them one got sent back within the 30 days the other my buddy is stuck with has sent back four or five times has never made two days of calling without giving major problems or completely taking a dump when it has worked the remote doesnt even come close to working at the range they talk about, not that we would need 250 yards but its more like 60 maybe 70 and that has to be line of sight.

i have a hunters buddy, i've had it for about 6 years. it has been back for repairs three times. each time it has been the remote not the player. the last time, after being hit by a realy pi$$ed off gray for. it flipped three times in the air befor it bit the ground. again it was the remote, sent it back to get an upgrade. the repairs were kinda slow and they charge for the upgrades.
to be fair i had a johnny stewart that went back 6 times for repair. several for the remote and a couple for eating tapes. they even replaced the entire unit at no charge. this was before js sold out.
when you use a unit as hard as i do your going to break it ever so often. i always keep two with me , one as back up. here is what happens if you call with electronic enough, by the waY I GOT HIM.

I used to have a hunters buddy that worked fine for me. I used it several years with no problems. I had a remote with rubber ducky antenna on it. I called with it in Montana at a temp of -25 below, and it still worked okay. The caller without the remote is a good reliable caller - you just turn it on/off manually. It should work fine for you. I had a guy buy mine from me, so I sold it and made a home made E-Caller.

Loco, you putz! What are you doin' at home? On Monday? I expect some mutton burritos. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Hey redFeather,
I would love to have your sense of humor. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Locohead, yes you did see me on the Foxpro website because I have owned two Foxpro callers which are also excellent callers. I seem to want to buy them, use them, sell them - I mean E-Callers way more than I should. I guess some folks buy/trade trucks, and me well I am just into these E-Callers for now. I figure if I buy one of every brand there is I might learn to call before I have bought every caller there is. Thanks.

And as for ME? Well I intend to buy a REAL rubber ducky, record the sound and load it onto my LOUDMOUTH caller. Eat your heart out Shotgun Willy. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
