1. No night hunting allowed (½ hour before sunrise to sunset)even if allowed in the state you plan to hunt in.
2. All types of calls are permitted (except the use of a live animal).
3. No dogs as decoys or to run down coyotes to kill or catch them.
4. Each Team must travel together and call on the same stands together.
5. Teams are to remain in the check-in line till their coyotes are counted, weighted, and temperature probed.
6. PROOF OF KILL: Each team must bring in their coyotes whole. All coyotes will be temperature probed and top placing teams coyotes will be thoroughly examined by the NMPCA judging committee.
7. Kill blocks will be used to confirm kills times, date and order in which coyotes where killed ( you will need a ink pen to record this information on the kill blocks.
8. There will be (3) judges making up the NMPCA judging committee. They will confirm kills, settle disputes and disqualify teams. THEIR DECISIONS ARE FINAL! If any coyote is disqualified, the team will be disqualified from the championship.
9. All coyotes checked in must have been called in and shot by one of the team members.(no trapped, pen raised, aerial gunned, road killed, poised or pre killed coyotes).In the event of a questionable coyote further examinations will be done by the NMPCA judging committee.
10. Only 1st place ties will be separated by Total weight. All other ties will split place money. (e.g. 3 teams tied at 2nd place= those 3 teams will evenly divide 2nd,3rd and 4th place moneys.)
11. The NMPCA committee, hosts, sponsors, or judges are not responsible for accidents, losses, or acts of god.
12. All contestants must comply with wildlife rules and regulations in the area or state they plan to hunt, in addition to contest rules. Any contestant cited for any wildlife violation or unethical hunting will automatically be disqualified. KNOW YOUR WILDLIFE RULES AND REGULATIONS!
