I'm going to Mesquite, NV to hunt predators and jackrabbits for about 10 days before the end of March. It is located near the 3-way boundary of AZ, NV, and UT. I have a combo hunt/fish license for both UT and AZ. I do not have a hunting license for NV. I would like to do some night hunting with red lights, night vision equipment, and thermal optics within a 30 mile radius of Mesquite, NV. I know the laws in AZ very well, but need some help with UT and NV.
Here are the questions I would like answered:
NV Regulations (hunting within a 30 mile radius of Mesquite, NV)
Can I hunt jackrabbits and coyotes at night without a NV hunting license?
Can I use night vision and thermal optics on coyotes and jackrabbits?
I will NOT be hunting other species and will give them a pass if called in.
Can lights be used from a vehicle along minor dirt roads?
UT Regulations: (hunting within a 30 mile radius of Mesquite, NV)
Does UT allow night hunting in this part of their state for jackrabbits and coyotes? If so, are there restrictions on using night vision or thermal optics?
I know that these regulations are in place for AZ and will plan accordingly.
AZ Regulations:
Allows artificial light for taking coyotes only, but not for other furbearers/predators.
Cannot shoot jackrabbits at night.
Lights cannot be used from a vehicle.
Cannot use night vision or thermal optics.
Thanks in advance for your help.
