Hunting information needed on B.L.M. land above Apple Valley.

Is it worth the trip from Los angeles? I understand its shotgun only! Every time I visit my brother who lives in Apple valley
(a non shooter)I hear shots coming from the B.L.M. land. Can anyone give me any information? Thanks in advance.

Yes a large area surrounding the cities up here is shotgun only. Alot of terrain calls for shotgun. Get a good distance from the populated areas and rifle is ok.

Exact miles to rifle country I do not know, sorry!!!

Any trip out to the high desert is worth it as there are quite a few yotes out here.

Good old Apple Valley, I lived right off of Happy trails hwy for years. To many darn people now, old Roy would roll over in his grave if he could see Apple Valley now.

Try Bowen Ranch road, 3N14 or coyote flats. Lucerne Valley has some coyotes as does Camp Rock road from Barstow. Even out by the AV airport or around Bell mountian. lots of areas to hunt predators out that way.
