Hunting Lease Question

I have a good hunting spot for Duck hunting and would like to talk to the owner of that property if he would lease it to me.
Any idea on how much to offer per year for the rights to be the only hunters on the property for Duck hunting.
Are there any forms(contracts)that should be used?

You might consider knocking on his door and asking politely if you can hunt it. There may not be a need to lease it. If he says yes, give him a very nice christmas gift! That will go a long ways towards cementing your relationship.

I agree its hard to beat free hunting land, but anymore that is really hard to find...

Round here in Missouri we pay anywhere from $5/acre up to $10 or $12. Most landowners that lease there ground will have a written contract drawn up to protect both of you.
