Does anyone have any knowledge or insight on Huskemaw blue diamond scopes? My buddy shoots long distance and swears by them. I have never looked through one. I plan on hunting more than long distance shooting. Thanks guys!
They are good scopes. I have had a Huskemaw for some time now.
It is a scope that is designed to dial your distance instead of your MOA or MIL.
To do this, you have to find out what your true drops are to have a custom turret made, for it to truly be useful. This review was done before they were called Blue Diamond. Probably about 7-8 years ago http://www.longrangehunting.com/articles/huskemaw-lr-scope-review-1.php
There are several ways "to skin the cat" in terms of making adjustments to shoot distance.
Using a ballistic turret is one of those ways.
You need to decide for yourself how you want to adjust for distance when shooting or hunting.

I own three now and as soon as my HCR 6.5X300 Weatherby gets built I will own 4. The three I have now are mounted on a 300RUM, 338 Lapua and a 375 RUM all have turrets built for rounds I shoot. I like them a lot but I do a lot of long distance shooting.
they are made for limited elevation changes like from 4 to 6 thousand feet or 2 to 4 from there you have to shoot them and gather information or go to another turret
a couple of friends have them, they work real well.also I have made a stick on scale for your turret it works perfect you gather all your info and put it in this program and print it out you can buy them online for 25.00 go to [custom turret scopes ]
