Hair might work short term, but in an urban setting they seem to get used to the smell of hair or deer repelants pretty quick. I would be careful using a bow and rubber blunts. I killed a deer about 35 years ago with a 50lb recure and a rubber blunt, it was a fluke but can happen. I have also had a couple of dogs that didn't survive rubber blunts over the years. I have a motion detector sprinkler I found in a magazine and that has worked as well as anything I have tried. Seems to get the cats, dogs and deer moving when it goes off. Your best long term solution is fencing.drscott
