Idaho Hunters??

Wish I could help you out, but I've already got someone that I hunt with from the base. Looks like we're going to be running a snare line together as well as hunting so my winter will be pretty busy. Doesn't seem like there are a whole lot of folks from Idaho on this site, but from the looks of the predator hunting section at Sportsmans Warehouse, there will be plenty of competition out there. Keep in touch and maybe we can help each other out.

I'd like to partner up with you on some Idaho hunting but I need to move out there first!

Would it be ok if I shoot you an email with some questions about the Boise area?

Sometime in the next 60 days I have to make one perhaps 2 business trips to Idaho, Twin Falls area and Nampa/Meridan/Caldwell. I hope to take a day or 2 off and do some calling. Is a non-resident license needed for coyote hunting? Also, looking for any contacts to "understudy" with on the area and calling.
Regards.

Idaho requires all shooters to have a valid hunting license. I looked up non-resident prices for you, $128.50, and there is a non-resident non-game license which would be valid for coyotes, but it is only good January through August. If you are willing to pay 128.50 for some coyotes, heck I'll take you!

My partner Rick and I are going to Boise in January. Calling contest.
Be glad to meet ya, pick yer brain. Maybe get some pointers of places to avoid or not.

We should chat, there are alot of hunters out here but I have not crossed to many paths. I was driving around with my son this weekend and was not prepared to do much shooting and as luck would have it we saw a coyote wondering around. I drove my loud diesel pickup to within in 200 yards of him before he spoked so they must no have to much pressure on them.

EricMullen-
Thanks for the info but I don't want to spend that much at this time. I have called in both Wyoming and Montana and their license costs for non-residents on coyotes is pretty low ("0.00"). I will be driving out, and maybe will check out Nevada.
Regards.

Just wondering if anybody knows a furbuyer in Idaho? I'm looking for someone who will purchase "green" furs to see if it is worth the time to set up a place to take care of them myself. Thanks guys

Motivationteam Im south of you and hunt chukers and coyotes. Theres lots of area to hunt if you know where to go. I'm going chuker hunting this morning and maby call in a coyote or two..........GENE'O

I just sent you a e-mail about coyote hunting. Went out two days ago and called in two. Missed the first one, but shot the second one.GENE'O

Quick couple of questions about the laws up there... would I need a non-resident license to shoot jackrabbits and rockchucks? Here in UT, jacks (and coyotes!) are not protected an no license is needed. The other question for you is: are those ravens, magpies and crows protected up there as they are here in UT? There are a TON down here but they are off limits.

Yes you haft to get a hunting license. The birds you ask about are the same there as here, you can't shoot them. And there is a lot of them. GENE'O

Hey gene'o,
Was the coyote you got prime yet? I figured with how warm it has been that it would be november before they were prime.

yeah that's what I figured. I'm going to go South of Kuna this weekend and see if I can have some luck. Where were you at when you took yours? I've been seeing alot of them around the base and heard that there are big numbers in bruneau, but have only seen limited numbers in the area around Kuna.
