idea for call lanyard.

hey fellas, a friend of mine bought me a call lanyard for my birthday. very nice braided lanyard made for duck calls. it was made for 5 calls but like most duck calls it actually has 10 loops. my idea is lanyard fobs. a round piece of bone, antler, wood or something similar with a paw print, yote, cat or something else decorative on it that is about the same diameter as a hand call with a grove around the outside edge so you can put it in the loop to both hold it open and be decorative. i only got 3 calls right now not counting my cronk howler so i don't use that many loops. is this a new idea or is there some of these out there some where? just never heard or seen them before and thought they maybe a good idea. Thanks, Brad

I've never seen that, but think it would make for a real pretty lanyard. I would be careful that it would make noise though. But heck, you have to look good when you are shooting coyotes so.... I think it is a fun idea.

I have not seen one for 10 calls. But I bought one from Reese Outdoors that hold 4 calls. I have hunted with it a couple of times, and the calls do not bang together. It is a nice set up.

That sounds like a neat idea. I usually put two loops over each call, but it sounds like you have a few loops to spare. As long as things remain quite, go for it.

I have a couple Reese lanyards myself, very good product, well make, and look great! Calls dont bang togeather!

When I make mine I always add something to make them look or stand out some kind of design, bone, horn, or beads.

Sounds like you got a good idea! Give it a try!

thanks fellas, for the vote of confidence. i believe it to be a good idea if i say so myself but, in all honesty i'm pretty much just an idea man with little or no inventive skills but thought it might be food for thought for you fellas in the call and lanyard buissness. if any of yal decide to use this idea i'll except 50% of all profets or a handful of fobs (your choice)for payment for creative thinking /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif Brad
