If you could have one shotgun and ammo for coyote's , what would it be ? I am going to buy another shotgun for coyote calling and I want opinions on the best shotgun available , new or used? Also what is the best ammo to feed it ? Thanks !

I use a benelli M2 24" with a +7 nordic tube
or a 21" M2 with the +5 nordic tube

Love both of them, I like the extentions so I can carry all the ammo Ill most likely need in the gun rather than my pockets.

havent killed any coyotes yet with either, but they have put down lots of coons skunks and a few porcupines.

I use the 24" for upland/waterfowl without the tube

Ammo is something youll have to find out on your own, Id look at the patterning sticky to get an idea of where to start

Good luck

If cost is a consideration, then get Stoeger autoloader. Benelli action at a fraction of the cost of a Benelli. Non-glare finish or camo at no extra cost.

Coyote hunting is not easy on shotguns, so low cost means that I don't have worry about the Stoeger the way I do with shotguns that cost many times more.

Cost no object? Then a Beretta autoloader. Gas operated recoil reduction is just awesome, especially when a follow up shot is required.

And if anyone is going to say gas operated autoloaders are more prone to jamming, you are full of crapola. I've shot tens of thousands of rounds out of Berettas and they do not jam. If you or your brother-in-law/whoever have issues, it's your fault for improper maintainance.

Ammo is more condition specific, but overall some size of buck.

Here is a picture of my Beretta 391.I prefer to use my bird hunting shotguns with 28" barrels on coyotes. Most of my shots at coyotes are while the coyotes are running. If you can shoot a shotgun pretty good on birds it will be a good shotgun to shoot coyotes with.

Here is my Remington 11-87 with a 28" barrel that I have had for 20 years, it also works great on birds and coyotes.

I have to shoot lead free shot at coyotes so I use Federal Heavyweight #2s or Hevi-Shot DC T or Rem HD BBs or Rem HD Predator T shot. All of these loads smoke coyotes at 50 yards or less.

Benelli M2 tactical with a factory full choke tube and 3 inch Remington #4 buckshot. Seven to nine pellets on a standard paper plate at 50yds every time!

these actions are in no way similar, i've owned/own both....stoeger is made in turkey, a country that is almost entirely muslim....benelli m2 w/ rem 3" #4 buck thru a patternmaster is my goto setup

What does that have to do with anything? They are both owned by company, the Stoeger is made in Turkey. The stuff you buy at Walmart is made in China, a country made up entirely of communist's...

But how are they not the same?

I love my Benelli Nova with 3 1/2" 00 buck, thinking about getting the SuperNova tactical in desert camo with pistol grip just for predators.

I like pumps, they can really take the betting of chancing dogs around.

Turkey has a lot of muslems but doesn't coddle to them. China is close to becoming the most capitalist country in the world.

The world is changing fast.

Wrong!

Both use Benelli's Inertia Driven action system. Look on the websites.

I haven't noticed my Stoeger heeding a call to prayer five times a day, so I'm not sure what religion has to do with it.

Stoeger is excellent value for money. Benelli reliability and function at less than $500.

wrong huh?? have you ever seen them both side by side stripped? yes they both have the inertia bolt. the stoger operates from a spring that is around the magazine tube, the benelli operates off a smaller spring that is in the stock...they do look alot alike on the outside. the shell carrier works the same thats about it....just my observations of both models i've had....the stoeger i had was purchased w/ the same thinkin....a benelli for less coin...then it started malfunctioning, clean or dirty..so i bought a benelli....when am i gonna learn to only cry once!!!!
