Illuminated Recticles?

Sorry I know I've been beating this one to death /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smiliesmack.gif. But what make/model scopes are you gentlemen shooting with illuminated recticles? Opinions on your scopes?

I took some advice from members of this forum, and went with the mueller scope. (sport dot-4x16 50mm AO) So far, i'm very happy with it. It will get a good "in the field" test in mid feb...so far at the range, it's been lovely.

Looked at the Nikon's but don't want to spend close to $700 for a scope on my 22mag. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-006.gif

Try a Bushnell 3200 with the Firefly reticle. Far less than the Nikons, and should work fine on night-time distances for a .22 magnum.

Been considering a Mueller or Bushnell Banner. Talked to a couple guys with the firefly recticles that didn't care for them. Thanks for all your input. Keep it coming. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif

beagler,

I was in the same situation as you. Didn't want to spend a fortune on on glass for a .22 mag. I got a BSA catseye 3-10X44 ill reticle on advise from some of the guys here, and I really like it. Pretty good scope for BSA. I got it shipped to my door for $114.00. Now I just need to put something in front of it. So far haven't been able to call up any thing but a coon since I I've gotten it.

I use a Leupold Var X III, Illuminated Rectical in 3X9X36mm compact with mil dot rectical and target knobs on my AR and absolutlly love it /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif!!!
I did get a good deal on it below wholesale, but if paying retail, they are not cheap...just like almost anything else, you get what you pay for!

I use a konus 3x10x44.The crosshairs are etched into the lens.I'm impressed with the light gathering for not being a high end scope, around $150,ajustable illumination. Not real popular in this country yet,but I'm impressed with it. model#7254 www.Konus.com

Just ordered a Mueller. Figured I'd try something different. Went with the 3 X 9 40mm red dot for my 22mag. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Beagler bought my last one a few months ago for $450 new. I did not know they jumped that high in a couple of months. Glad I got mine when I did.

To keep costs low for the rimfire, try the Simmons Aetec Illuminated. The whole crosshair lights up but it probably wont be bad for a rimfire. I have a regular one on my .260 and love it. Great glass, I wont replace it even if someone gave me a more expensive scope.

As for centerfires I want to put a Burris on my .17Rem and get rid of my Nikon. I like the Burris recticles and the way only the center illuminates.

Oh I didnt read all the way down. I see you ordered. Let me know how it works, I've been curious about them.

I just picked up a Nikon Monarch 6.5-20x44 IR on Ebay new for $439.00. There's like 9 of them on there at that price. TOO good to pass up
