I'm thinking about buying a scope with an illuminated cross hair or dot. I would love to go with a leoupold but would not get 700.00 worth of enjotment out of it. Does anyone have any input on BSA,Millet,Burris or any other moderately priced scopes? I did a search, and someone said BSA stands for "been screwed again". Well,Okay, but why? So can anyone give me some input?? Thanks

I just read an article in "PETERSON'S HUNTING" new product reviews.Bushnell Elite 3200's coming out with new "Firefly" reticle for 2003.It is a "GLOW IN THE DARK" type of finish on reticle that you charge by shining a flashlite into scope for 1-2 minutes.Supposed to last for hours. Also charges from sunlite during a normal day afield but they warn not to point dirctly at sun.Sounds great! Got great reviews on a proven scope.Wish I hadn't bought new scope for my deer rifle last fall.i'd like to get one myself.Could probably get one without the wife noticing though, easier than bringing new rifle into house!Surprised nobody thought of it sooner.

The Leupold Illuminated ret's are the best of all I have seen or used. Their system does not light up the whole ret and wash out you field of view. I have a similar system on my sniper rifle as the Bushnell mentioned but it is a Leupold 8.5-25x50 longrange optic. Besides you will not get the light gathering ability of Leupolds from any of the ones mentioned in your post.

They must be really sticking it to you guys up there for $700?? Tell me what you are looking for, I can get you one lots cheaper than that. Ask Jason on here from Jason's gun room. He should be able to beat the too. Seach the internet or shotgun news.

I have a BSA 3-9X40 illuminated reticle scope on my .22-250 and .22 WMR. I got them for $28.00 apiece, so I thought, "Why not?" So far they seem to be working alright. I don't hunt much at night, so I haven't used the illuminated reticle function except for target practice.
