I haven't shot my Colt for many years, but I want to get some more ammo loaded up.

I will be using 185 HP's, but need to know what some of you guys are using for powder now days.

Many thanks.

I use 2400 13.4 gr with a 155 XTP. Not sur of the velocity but my flock 20 likes it. My book also calls for h110 and unique. I use unique in my 40cal

The speed contenders in the 10mm Auto are Alliant Blue Dot,
and Hodgdon Longshot, over my chrony. I did my 10mm Auto
load development with Starline brass and 180 gr. Hornady XTP
bullets. Out of the standard Glock 20 barrel(4.6"), I
started seeing signs of pressure around 1300 fps. So I
backed the load down a bit, to around 1250 fps, out of the
stock Glock barrel. I have a KKM Precision 6" barrel, but
have not measured the load velocity out of that barrel.
The test rounds I did fire, had good accuracy, and no signs
of pressure, from the KKM barrel, so I might be able to
push this load a bit more, for the KKM.

Ok Gents,
I have used Blue Dot in the past for other cal.'s and shotgun loads, but have not used the Longshot.

My loads are not going to be super fast, not going to try and take down an Elk with it. It's just for my stock Delta Elite.

Many thanks - anymore suggestion?

I like the 2400 because of how clean burning it is In my pistol. If I ren unique in my 10 then my cases are blackened and barrel gets dirty.

I hear ya on the Unique. I will have to look today, but I may still have some 2400 left for when I was loading for my 44 mag. So it looks like 2400 & Blue Dot then.

Many thanks.....

I've been using longshot pushing 180gr bullet in both my glock 20-C and my dan wesson Razor back.

Bluedot is great for flash but you can't get to top end velocity's with it.
