The first time connecting to the scope, to retrieve videos, the app prompted me to download updated firmware. After doing so, my scope was locked up. Couldn't access menus or change anything. Scope wouldn't even turn off. Ended up being able to turn the scope off after holding the power button for longer than 15 seconds. Most things seem to work correctly now, but I can't edit the zero distance in my ballistic profile. Also, my laptop does not recognize the scope when plugged in directly. Locks the scope up again if I try. What issues are you having now?
I'm kinda afraid to since most things seem to be working and it holds zero very well. I talked to the dealer I bought it from and he said that even his sales rep has told him that they don't recommend doing any updates unless you scope has issues. IRay customer service told me that as well. Here's an idea!...............how about they display that message first in the app instead of the message saying that there is an available update and your device needs to be updated?! Lol. I will send it in after our season is over since the end user (me) is not able to install the original firmware revision. Can you repeat the download? Just updated mine, no problem so far, did it through the App.
I was thinking the same thing. That just doesn’t sound right. Why release an update if you don’t want people to update?IRay customer service said not to do any updates ?
WOW...i hope they can repair scopes under warranty with out any issues
Well......they didn't say "don't do any updates". They said they don't recommend that you do any updates unless your device is having issues.IRay customer service said not to do any updates ?

YesCheck'd mine today, works fine. Did you wait for the scope screen to say update installation complete?
