I made a post last year about wide FOV scanners. I see the iRAY Micro series in 384 & 640. Would those be considered wide FOV? I'm used to looking through the FLIR Scion 266 and Pulsar Quantum hd19a units.
How do you cold weather guys feed this unit? External battery pack? Just change 18650 batteries when needed?

Absolutely they are considered a wide FOV scanner. Iray also came out with a RH25 V2 that destroys the older RH25. IMHO they are the most modular thermal on the market with the best image and capability.
Shoot me a PM if you are interested .

With the older V1 we only used the 18650's because the layout of the POS cable that came with them, 6 pin port, large dia. gauge, not a real feasible application. With the release of the new V2 mod, it now allows us to use the external battery option because it's a USB-C plug similar to the Iray Mini MH25.
So this year yes we will probably be using an external power core.
