My one Brother that was in Viet Nam. I remarked about above. He was scared during most of his tour. He went on 18 missions & was in, if I recall correctly 12 firefights.
The creature he told me about. Scared him more than the enemy. Although he said his squad couldn't see it in the darkness.
They all could hear it making a roaring noise & chattering. As it circled their camp site. Busting though brush & snapping limbs off of trees to throw at them. They also had an idea of how tall it was. As it made these vocal noises at them. While it was on the move.
They didn't shoot at it. As they didn't want to give away their position.
