Is anyone using a Redhead scope??

I recently bought a Redhead 3-9x40 from what we call the "Bent-Can Store". They buy a lot of returned merchandise from Bass-Pro, K-Mart, etc.

Anyhow, they had this scope for sale for $20.00 . It looks good, so I decided to try it. No ring marks, so I don't think it has ever been mounted. I'm hoping someone got it for a birthday present, and decided to return it for a different brand, etc,.

I was just wondering if anyone had any experience with this brand. Thanks.

Merry Christmas.

I bought one (3x9 40mm) for my Rem 870 12 gauge with rifled slug barrel. It was on sale at Bass Pro for I think $30 bucks. I expected to use it for one, maybe two seasons. I have to say it's been well worth $30.
It's a tough scope too, embarrassing as it is, I dropped it from my 12ft tree stand last year. When I checked the zero, it was still dead on!

For deer size game out to 125yrds it is clear and has been a good scope for me. Never thought I would have it on the gun for five seasons.

I have a 6-24 Red Head on my 17HMR. I was told they are made by Bushnell. Seems to work just fine for me. I paid abit over $100. for mine and it came with 2 sun shades. Clear glass and the adjustments seem to be dead on.

I have some rifles with 1-4X scopes that work well. A 3-9X on a shotgun seems like giving up a lot of FOV for power you will never need?

Your Marlin is a very basic 22 lr rimfire and take rings and mounts for such. It has a grooved reciever that allows for just about any groove type mount.
