Is it possible to mix two different .FXP sounds with Audacity??

I am wanting to mix two different .fxp formatted sounds together to put into one position on the FoxPro. Has anyone done this with free programs out there such as Audacity?? I know it would be easy to do with an mp3 or .wav sound but I have a lot of FP sounds and would like to mix a couple up for some deer calling.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Not sure if it can be done, but if you let Steve Dillon know what you are interested in, I know for a fact that he can do it for you.

Savage250,
You cannot edit or modify/mix FXP files. FoxPro can mix them for you though if you want. I'd call or email and let them know what sounds you want mixed. They can probably just mix them and email them back to you lickidy split.

Ummm... why couldn't he run the sound out though the FX3/5 external speaker port (as an analog sound) into a computer sound card input?

So long as you've got a low-noise quality sound card, and adjust the volume so that it doesn't clip the signal, this method works pretty well. (Yes, I'd rather keep the sound in all-digital form without such conversions, whenever I can, but quite reasonable results can be had with a single A/D conversion at high bit-rate, high sampling rate).

Also will mention I prefer using GoldWave to Audacity for this particular task, due to its excellent Noise Gate Filter feature.

I actually bought GW and put Parallels Desktop on my Mac just for the noise gate, it's that good. (but did find that recording directly into GW using Parallels introduces some artifacts. Garage Band or Audacity works better for this on the Mac side).
