Is the 300BO fazing out?

I have had 5 of them, but right now I'm down to 2. Both my guns exclusively shoot 220 Berry's loading subsonic, I have a 12.5" (long range sub gun) that I try to shoot steel with 100-300 yards, and an 8" (bag gun) with a law folding buffer and a SiCo Harvester Evo.

I bought one off of Gunbroker, it wouldn't shoot worth a darn. So I had D-tech build one, I spent a considerable amount of time finding a subsonic 220gr load that would shoot better than 3 or 4 inches. I finally developed a load that would shoot an inch with 220gr sierra BT. I had to match headstamps, then sort by weight, trim to exactly same length. I lost every coyote I shot with the 220's, tracking one for well over a mile on hard packed snow even though I had shot it through the chest. With supers I killed a couple, a 125gr TNT did a very fine job.
Haven't shot mine now in several years, the upper hasn't even had a scope on it in many years. Its for sale if someone wants one.

Bluebird- my 16"AR hangs right around 1" @ 100 yd using the 190 SubX & BE86, LilGun, 4227 in any load, not picky at all, gun just has a mini Wraith thermal on it. Haven't lost a coyote yet with it. Maybe just jinxed myself.....

huh? I can’t pitch a ball a 100 yards, and its subsonic rounds are quite effective at 100. There are several bullets specifically designed for subsonic. Got issues and don’t want to be heard? It’s awesome.
I’ll totally agree there are better super sonic rounds, but the use of pistol powders and very short barrels make this a round I really like. Sub and super…
Do you find 300 bo bullets expand to 45 cal or greater.
From 50 yards to 100 yards, how much does it drop? What about 115 yards?

For expansion, I don’t have one to measure. If you are serious on shooting subsonic, take a look at Lehigh Defense bullets. They did a lot of research and development for monolithic sub sonic bullets.
Based on my notes from when I was developing loads for the 194 gr Lehigh, I sighted in at 75 yards which gives 1.75” high at 50 and 4” low at 100. Not bad for decent size critters within 100, which is my only use. Relatively close to houses and I don’t want to be heard.
ammo.com has drop charts for these as well.
With no hold up, just straight bullet path would be 4.3@50, 17.56@100, 27.64@125. They really run out of gas around 100. (All inches and yards.)
