Was out a couple weeks ago close to your area (between Benge and Sprague) and couldn’t believe all the coyotes I was hearing. I managed to miss the first one I shot at this year too… at about 60 yards. There’s a lot of places to miss a coyote!
Congrats on your first hand called coyote. I’d give my left nut for a picture of the first coyote I ever called in a killed. I used an elk diaphragm call, and shot it in the face at about 40 yards with my trusty 10/22. That was January 1988, I had just turned 12 years old.
