I am told my Ithaca LSA-55 is a derivative of Sako or Tikka, the barrel is stamped Bofors steel made in Finland,Does anyone have info on this. Its a .243, light sporter and shoots very well. Under 1" at 100yds.Soon as the deer season is over here in southwest Washington I'll be trying for my first yote, cause I'm a newby,ha ha ha. I can hardly wait. Outstanding site and forum, the wife thinks I'm goofy. Oh well!

The LSA-55 was manufactured by Oy Tikkakoski AB, Tikkakoski, Finland. Ithaca started using the action during 1969. There was a Standard Grade and Deluxe modle. The Deluxe did not have open sights. Per the 3rd edition Bolt Action Rifles by Frank de Haas. --Per the Blue Book Of Gun Values--Mfg.by Tikka from 1969 to 1977 . You have a fine rifle.
