Predator hunted in Montana for 20+ years, 4 years ago started reloading Calhoon 22 cal. 37 grain double hollow point bullets for my 22 hornet and love them. Anyone else reload them?

I bought some of those bullets from James Calhoon, and tried them in my Hornet. Unfortunately, they didn't shoot as well as some of the other bullets I tested.

Edit to add: I see this is your first post on PM. Welcome aboard. This is THE best Internet shooting and hunting site, bar none. Come around often, and join in the discussion. There are great guys posting here.

Really? I love them because I have a 220 swift that is deadly on dogs but will almost blow a fox/bobcat in half. I use the calhoons in my hornet and Ive shot coyotes, fox and bobcats with very little pelt damage.

I shoot the 37 grain bullets in my K-Hornet and like them . I wish they still made 17 caliber bullets ! I'm almost out of their 28 grain bullets and I need some more !

I have shot the 30 grain bullets in a C Z hornet, the accuracy is good and performance is outstanding. I used the load on the container with H110, his velocity is not optomistic they will do it.

I have used Calhoun bullets in my 221 Fireball for maybe 10 years and now I am switching all of my 22 centerfire reloads to his bullets.
For velocities under 3600fps I am no longer using HYornady SPSX bullets, now I use Calhouns DBHP's with very good results on both paper and carnage on critters
