Hi, Does anybody make a long range speaker for the JS preymaster? I have the 15 watt speaker and want the sound to be louder. I was looking and there I found all weather speakers. That way I could make my own and get what I want. Would that work if I put the right connections on and got a amp? Thanks for any help!

Thanks Ryan

If you're going to get a bigger speaker than comes with the Preymaster, then "Yes" you will need to get an amplifier.

Besides the amplifier, you're also going to need a much bigger power source - you don't drive all those amps with a 9 volt battery! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smiliesmack.gif

Save yourself some trouble - buy a unit that's already built with a larger speaker - like the 612! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif

The amplifier determines the power output on a caller. Puting a higher watt rated speaker on it will not increase power output. The only way you can get it to play louder is to use a speaker that is a different ohm rating and that is not recommended. It will drain the batteries real fast and you run the risk of ruining the amp. I honestly can not tell you if the amp is designed to accomodate a different ohm rating without burning up.

The Preymaster can be used with the Power Pro convert-a-caller from HS as has been mentioned.
