Anyone use those jumpstarters with the cig lighter connect for their battery pak? how long is the charge good for? can they be recharged in my truck between stands? anyother issues with them? Thanks for any info.

Jump starter boxs last a long time (all Night)with a hand held light, they can be charged in you truck, not going to charge very much between stands though, depending what size you buy.....you may not need too...there very heavy mine are 1,200 amp boxs, weight is about 30-35 lbs, jump boxs come with Ac and Dc charging cords and 110v hook-ups...12 volt cig. socketts for lights and cell phone chargers and have there own emergency Lights for road Break-downs/or walking in the woods....

I have 3 of them 1 is a office back-up for our coumputer, it has a 110 Inverter on the back of the jump pack and will run the coumputer and printer for 5 hours....its called a Marine pack, made by AllStart..

The other 2 are used for a spare in my truck (On the DC charger all the time) and the other is used Daily at my Job.....to start Equipment...and charge my cell Phone...

I bought 2 of them at www.Harborfreight.com thay are $79.00 each.......they last for 5 years before they start going bad, just replace one last week......with the same.......

No real Negitive things about them, except you better be a strong person if you going to LUG on of these out in the woods for Hunting........Id suggest a roll dolly with a Bungie cord.....becuase its going to get Heavy Quick.... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

I carry one in my truck at all times. I have had to use it a few times to start my truck, and others trucks as well. I have used them a few times in my atv, and it will run a spotlight for a LONG time.

Only negative thing I can say about them is they get real heavy real quick. I use one for my hand held light when I know I am not going to be hunting far from the truck. How long it lasts? Dont know, I have hunted with it all night before using full pwoer on the hand held and it never ran dead. When I get back to the house I usually plug it back in just as soon as I get home.

OK I went to Wal-Mart and they had one for $40 and I had it in the cart. I also had an inverter in the cart $17. Then I went to look at the lights and I found a rechargeable 1,000,000 with a smaller light under it. SOOOOO I also wanted a light for my .22lr, you know the ones that clamp on your scope with the forend push button and red lens. SOOO I put the battery charger back on the shelf and bought the scope light. Also picked up some fox and raccoon pee and those lil orange scent containers with the wiks, a small hat light, a skinning knife, two of those small sharpeners, and a bag to haul all this stuff in the field.I will see how the rechargable light works and will probably end up going back for the charger. OHhh I hope my wife never checks this site...LOL
