Just scored CZ 550 FS 30-06 20.5 inch barrel

Those of you that have a CZ550 FS please tell me how you like yours and how they shoot. If you have one in 30-06 is there any particular load or bullet these rifles seem to like. I am torn as to keeping it a 200 yard or under open sight rifle or mounting a 3-9x 40 mm leupold to stretch to 300-400 yards. Actually have plenty of other rifles to cover that option.

My son has a CZ 550 in .375 H&H, and what a rifle it is. Wonderfully accurate and surprisingly not too bad with recoil. My .338 Win Mag seems to kick harder. I think you are going to like it. Keep us informed.

Hard to beat a Cz! I watched Daves mentioned rifle in action on one of his vids! You can take that info to the bank..

I have one in 6.5x55, mounted a 1-5x luepold on it for wi white tails, shoot it couple times a year, plan is to shoot three shots to foul the barrel then shoot for group? But the first three all land in the 2" shoot and see bull and are never over 1" ctc! You hear how a full stock rifle suffers from wood the full length of the barrel, but I have had this rifle for about ten years and I have never made a adjustment to the scope since the first day I sighted it in! My only complaint is she is heavy! If I am going to do a lot of walking I take my cz 527 7.62x39.
