Just Wondering Where's the Cheapest Place to Buy Corn Cob Media?

I have been out of the market too long, but last time I bought it was at MidwayUsa dot com. I must reiterate, however, I am LONG overdue to buy more, I just unpacked my own material here, in fact! I have not bought for several years, because last time I bought a crapload, and I have not used any for about 4 years!

Midway has good corncob.

It used to be a good deal, came in a 3-1/2 gallon re-usable bucket for ~$10, and shipping was cheap. I bought 20 of them. I'm now getting down to my last three buckets, and checked the prices and they are $30 a bucket, and shipping is $20 each, so what was a $240 order is now a $1,000+ order

Someone here said that pet stores have very good (and dust free) corncob and walnut shells, ground very small (small enough that it won't clog primer pockets), so I am going to check the local pet store. (and no shipping).

Also, if you use a bunch, this is ~90 cents a pound.

And this is less and no shipping.

Sportsmans Warehouse carries Barry's corn cob media at a very reasonable price. Very small kernals and doesn't get stuck in the primer pockets. They also have Flitz's media polish. Those 2 together make the brass look like a mirror. I've never been able to get brass that clean and polished in my 30 plus years of reloading. Walnut is just to dusty for me.

Was looking in Petsmart with the wife today and found a big bag of ground walnut shells for $13.00 and saw a bag of crushed corn cob for $10.59. Pet stores carry them for lizards and crap

Woops... too late.

People in Tennessee can't buy walnut or corn cob without a federal permit, and part of Obama's gun control plan is to not issue anymore permits
