kahles new moa rifle scope

I havnt seen any talk about this scope here but have aksed on other forums about it. figured I'd check here anyway what people think of this scope. I think it is new and from a story I read it must be awesome. sure has some cool featurs with the focus thing on top. anybody ever check one out. im looking at a new scope and this one really stands out to me.

and yep, im new here, just signed up. im going to use it for prarie dogs and hopefuly some coyotes, maybe deer.
 
I have two of the Kahles K624I but they are mil based scopes. They have parralax adjustment on top

Is this a new scope of are they making the K624I with moa?
 
Will get my hands on one in the future, just not sure when yet. I have a lot of irons in the fire now. I am very impressed with their optics though.

Thanks for the answers guys it helps. ill keep loking at all the options there are just thought the kahles was pretty cool and that story has me impressed.

The kahles glass is a definite upgrade over that Nightforce scopes I had
 
so nightforce glass sucks?? your freaking kidding me. mine works well enough to see coyotes in sage brush beyond the point my swarovski binoculars begin to give up in low light. coyotes in sage brush are often NOT SEEN in broad day light. nightforce gets me well beyond legal hunting light.

34 mm tube scopes are another product of the bigger is better taticoool crowd. kahles website says you only get 88 MOA in travel, most 30mm scopes offer more than that, why is the scope needing a 34mm tube?? just makes it clunkier and bulkier.

You'll have to excuse me as I have the luxury of not having to guess. I have owned both NF and the Kahles the OP was asking at the same time, although mine two are mil and not MOA. Of the two NF I owned, the Kahles glass was superior in contrast, clarity and sharpness of image. I was able to shoot both side by side at the same time and when looking at the same image, yes the Kahles glass was better.

I took three rifles to shoot with some buddies back in Feb, one buddy is a frequent member here. One rifle had a Kahles, one a March and NF. A couple of the guys there shot both my Kahles and NF too. In fact, it was during this particular day, that two of the guys there had S&B. Now up until this time, I was completely satisfied with the Kahles, but when I shot their Schmidts side by side with my Kahles, it was no comparision. I have since bought a S&B because its the best that I personally have shot to date.

Yes 34mm tubes are bigger and bulkier and are definately not a scope I would ever use on a hunting rig. For a hunting rig I would (and have) prefer a March over NF.

As Ernie stated, its not that NF glass is bad, but there are scopes that have better glass. I will say that I've had guys tell me that the NF Atacr is much better glass. I personally have no exerience with them. But then an Atacr model that is similar to the K624I also has a 34mm tube and weighs 38 oz.

I'm not basing my opinions on "what I have is the best" its simply that I have shot both in a side by side comparison.

And there you go... It's amazing what actual experience & comparison will get you.

I have several NF and personally think this glass is the weak link when talking about comparative scopes in it's class ~$2K. Of course NF offers a tank construction comparatively so there is a trade off. Do you want rough tires for the mud, or highway tread for the smooth ride? There is no one BEST scope for every application.

As to the ATACR, I have played with several & have plans to be an owner of one soon. The glass is definitely superior to the NXS.
