Kahles Opinion

I've been trying to figure out what scope to put on my D-Tech. I was in the store the other day and they had a 3x9 Kahles that was originally $999 marked down to $699 after talking to one of the guys I know that worked there he went and checked and they said they would sell it for $599 since it was the last one.
My question is do any of you use Kahles? And if you do how well pleased are you with it? Would you buy another or would you save up some more $ for something else?
Thanks

I have multiple Kahles scopes (model C, CL, CB, CBX, L) and find them to be the beat for the $$ with deals like the one you've come across. I'd say grab it and don't look back.

Is the scope the Multizero or just the plain CL?

I'm not sure if it is multizero or not. I would guess it is just the plain CL. Also I believe it was originally $899 and not $999 so maybe not as huge a deal as I orginally stated. I think I'll go ahead and try it.
Thanks for the responses.

I have one and I am very happy with it. I usually shoot Leupold, this one followed my home 1 day and has been a very nice scope.

I think I read somewhere that Kahles is the sister company of Swarovski, and one of the oldest optics manufacturers out there. They are very high quality. I have always wanted to get one of there scopes, but just don't have the funds at the moment. Maybe some day. I would grab that deal and run with it.

I have a 3-10x50 CL mounted on a 300 Win Mag (same glass and coatings as the 30mm C version). Very well built. Many rate it slightly better then a Swarovski PH as far as optical performance and overall build. When you consider it is 800$ cheaper then a Swaro PH i think it is a great value.

Thanks for the info. Here is a little history on the company.

Kahles Rifle Scopes is the oldest rifle scope manufacturer in the world. - Beginning in 1898, Karl Robert Kahles manufactured, by hand, one of the first rifle scopes. Working in his "Optical Manufactory" located in Vienna, Austria, it did not take long before the new device became very well known among hunters everywhere and gained a very strong reputation. The Kahles family managed and ran the company until 1974. With no heir in the family to take over the company, an ailing Fredrich Kahles sold the business to his friend Daniel Swarovski. From 1974 through 1988 Kahles was a subsidary of Swarovski. In 1989, Kahles Limited G.M.B.H. was registered as an independent company within the Swarovski Optik Group.
Now marketed in the United States as a brand within the Swarovski Optik North American product line, Kahles products have a Lifetime Warranty, are price competitive and offer the consumer many new riflescope models!

Kahles are very, very nice optics. I have a couple of their scopes and binos. I think that the scopes stay right with the Swarovskis and the binos are a close second.
