Kentucky deer hunting

Fish and Wildlife Resources
There are areas that have special restrictions, hunts, quotas and bag limits, for the complete
guide see link below:

------------------------------------------------
Regulations ONLY in part:
Buying a statewide deer permit
allows a hunter to take two (2) deer.
Hunters can use only one statewide
deer permit per season. Only the person
to whom the permit is issued may
use the permit. The statewide deer permit
includes two carcass tags: One tag
is marked "antlered or antlerless" deer
and can be used to tag either sex animal.
The second tag marked "antlerless"
can only be used to tag an antler-less
deer. Zone restrictions determine
the periods when antlerless deer may
be taken.
--------------------------------------------------
Where and when allowed, hunters
are encouraged to take additional
antlerless deer beyond what the
statewide deer permit allows. To take
more than two deer on private lands,
hunters required to buy permits must
buy bonus antlerless permits in addition
to the statewide deer permit.
Carcass tags from the statewide permit,
or bonus permit(s) may be used in
any order. (Zone restrictions determine
when antlerless deer hunting is
permitted.)
