I am considering a trade on one of these, if you have one
what is your opinion ?
Trigger...action...accuracy...fit and finish...durability

On average how accurate would you say it is ?
3 shots on a nickle, quarter, or a half dollar at 100 yrds

I have always been a Remington fan but I do not like todays
finish and the price is abit out of hand. IMHO

I am no Savage fan I am only considering the Kimber....
If you have a Kimber what do you think of it ?

My opinion is good in all aspects except accuracy. I have had 6 kimbers in the last 3 years. Accuracy is very hit or miss. I currently have a longmaster classic in 308 that shoots pretty well. Around 3/4" most of the time and sometimes better. If you can shoot the rifle befor trading that would be best. I really like how they feel and the trigger is good.

have a kimber PRO VARMINT .223 and it is amazing. accuracy is on a nickle at 100 yards. I have had some problems with the rifle but just because kimber likes to use a lot of grease in there bolt spring and it started to miss fire in 15 degree weather. But that is all fixed now nothing a little wire brush and some dry lube cant fix. Trigger pull is smooth as butter and fit and finish is exceptional

I have a Kimber Long Master Classic. The cartridge is 223. It is one fantastic rifle. Well balanced, accurate, good looking rifle. For a very reasonable price.

I bought a few cases of Black Hills 50 grain V-Max ammo for a great closeout price a few years back. Problem is this ammo shoots so well, it is tough to reload a better shell.

In my Kimber on a day with no wind I can keep a five shot group inside of 2" at 300 yards. That is more accurate than I can shoot in any hunting situation. Personally I do not care what group a rifle shoots at 100 yards. 100 yards is easy. I like to shoot them at a minimum of 200 yards. And if you want a better idea of the accuracy of a rifle then shoot your groups at 300 yards. 300 is where you start to seperate the men from the boys.

Mine even came with a decent trigger. It is the only varmint rifle I have ever owned where I did not need to do a trigger job to the rifle. Tom.

I have a 22-250 in the longmaster 84m and I love it. I shot my reloads with h380 and matchkings at 100 yards with all three holes touching. I don't care for the truglo scope on it but it will be upgraded soon. Trigger is stock but next winter I will probably stone the contact points to make it a bit better.
