KRG Bolt Knob Upgrade

I was looking to upgrade (oversized knob) my bolt knob to help with a more positive lift, feed and ejection on my 700 SPS without having to permanently modify the factory knob or replacing the bolt.

I bought and installed a KRG Bolt Knob which only takes a minute, it doesn't add much weight , and has made a big difference in manipulating the bolt.

Made in the USA with a lifetime warranty for $28 plus shipping:

It's fugly!!

I have never had even the slightest problem working a bolt on any rifle...

Looking at that bolt knob reminded me of a story. I was coming back from a New Mexico archery elk hunt and decided to coyote hunt while taking the scenic way home. I am left-handed and tend to carry my rifles slung on my left shoulder. I was carrying a RH Remington 700 17 rem that day and I shot a coyote right at dusk from one ridge to another. I was traversing thru some loose shale and my feet shot out from under me and I slammed hard against the rocks. I was more worried about gun getting scratched at first but after a few minutes I realized my left side was really hurting.. the bolt knob had cracked one of my ribs. Happy it wasn't a KRG on that particular day.

Looks like a good solution for it's purpose.

The KRG knob is cheaper, larger than factory, requires no modification, and can be removed easily. I fail to understand how it's not a good alternative to getting a Badger Ordnance or similar knob threaded on. It sounds more like people have a problem with it because it's different and they spent more money doing it the other way.

You forgot to add.. it's FUGLY!!

If I wanted a fugly rifle, I would get a Savage!

Nothing wrong with it being different it's big and ugly and the other way costs more because it actually looks good and worth the extra $70-100.

Nope,, nothing wrong with being different. Don't mean I have to like it.
There are plenty of things that are different in my eyes, ie: bladed triggers, scope reticals with circles in them, super flimsy stocks, people who will go out of their way to prove the cheapest is always the best.

It still is the craftsman, but I cut the bottom off.

I would rather have a screwdriver for a bolt knob than the neighborhood watch guy with a big knob and pmc 150 fmjs.
