Ladder Stands

Anyone have any opinions on two man ladder stands? I am going to pick one up soon to take my son hunting with me. Am looking at the big game line as they look to be well made and hopefully comfortable. My son is 13 and has been working hard on his bow shooting so I am really anxious to get him out.
Thanks.

Personaly i am not a huge fan of ladder stands because you typically don't get up high enough, and they don't conceal you all that well. However when taking someone with you ladder stand may be the only option, and can help teach them.

heavier then he&& is one thing i will say, good for long term areas, easier for someone to steal because generally you tend to put them in a area that will be easy to access

Go and get yourself some camo burlap and cable tie it to the outer rim of the stand, seems to hide most movement with my kids!

Thanks for the replys. Am hunting family owned ground so not overly worried about theft. Just think they are about as safe as it is going to get for kids. Also looking at the big dog line.

We have been using the Riversedge LADDER 17' DOUBLE BUCK EXTREME 2-MAN, we have 6 set up along with a bunch of Loggy Bayou 21' bowhunter ladders (one person).
The double has a big platform. The bench seat flips up so no worry on snow or ice build up. We have transitioned from hang on's to all ladders. They are safer and easier to climb and quiet. We are not getting any younger.

Believe me I know the feeling about not getting younger! I think they will work well for the boy hunting with me. Picking up two of the redtick III's after work tomorrow.
