LaRue Tactical for 56mm Objectives

Looking for a LaRue QD mount that will suit the monolithic upper of the LWRC IC line. I looked on their page, but I couldn't find anything that endorsed an objective larger than 50mm. Any personal experiences or does anyone own one that would work?

Give them a call.

My LT-111 with a 50mm objective has quite a bit of extra clearance so I think that would work fine with a 56mm.

Advice taken. I called LaRue and they actually put a S&B with 56mm objective into their LT104 (which is the one I have) and mounted it to a monolithic upper while I was on the phone. He said it fits fine but you might not be able to use any scope caps unless their pretty thin. He also said if your scope has a 34mm tube you'd have 3/4" but the 30mm tube sits a little lower.

Good to know. I'd agree with their position regarding the scope caps. On my 50MM the caps take up the majority of the available clearance, I just use the factory removable ones when not in use not the flip ups. I store my scopes off the gun and that's about the only time the caps are on anyhow.

I've got some vortex flip caps on my thermal and those are real thin, they might work out for you.

I have butler creeks on all my optics. The brush I travel through while elk hunt can do some damage to your weapon so I learned the hard way to put flip ups on everything that goes in the bush

I just ordered 30mm rings for my LT104 from LaRue. Now I just need to decide if I really need the NXS or if I can live with the SHV but I'm going to get a NightForce. A $1000 is a lot for zero stop and exposed turrets...
