laser genetics

anybody use laser genetics nd3x50 to call at night.

is it worth the cost?

is it better to get a kill light from boondocks?

Take the money you'd spend on that and use it to wipe with because you'll get more satisfaction with it then.

I've had a few buddies waste hard earned money on that laser when they could of spent it elsewhere. Buy a kill light and you'll be happy. Or if you really want to reach out light force 140.

I have the plane nd3, cuts off below 40 degrees unless you wrap a hot pack around it. Killed a bobcat with it last Monday night. I like it because I can pan it out to a soft halo type of light, or zoom it down and see well at 300 through a Leupold. The other night I just caught a flash of a eye, zoomed in on the spot and could see the cat just setting there with his eyes shut, or barely cracked. A brighter light would have spooked him. If I had to do it over, I'd buy the sub-zero. Unless you need to shoot 600 yards don't buy the 40 or 50, too big and bulky. You can even zoom it down and point and shoot with it, kind-a fun with a AR. I killed a skunk with it at 283 yards about a month ago, and skunks are never still!

thanks for the input. I saw one for sale for $400 that was basicly new. wondered if it was worth it or not. I leaning toward 250 kill light from boondocks.

I have the Kill Light and a LG ND3 Subzero and regular ND3. The regular one does not work in the cold northeast. Unfortunately, that info wasn't out there when I bought it. I have since bought the Subzero and like it much better. I have a Kill Light as well, but prefer the LG.

I'd be willing to part with the regular ND3 if you're interested.

I have an nd3x50 sz and my buddy bought the nd3x40 sz. There is very little difference between these two. I would go with the 40 if I had it to do over. I have used my down in the teens and worked mine. I really like the light.

I had the chance to use a nd3 last month neat light with a wobbly scope mount seemed like i was always adjusting the mount to get a good field of view/centered beam through the scope.I bought the green kill light from boondocks been really pleased with it.
